Well, this fell into the latter.
1/4 c honey
1/4 c water
1/2 c light corn syrup
2 c granulated sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
some melted dark chocolate (optional)
-Add sugar, corn syrup, honey, and water to a pot. You want to use a large pot here because the volume triples after adding the baking soda.
-If using a candy thermometer, wait until mixture has reached 300 degrees. If you don’t have a candy thermometer, you’re looking for the mixture to turn an amber color. After this has been achieved, whisk in the tablespoon of baking soda. Be sure not to over-whisk.
-Pour onto baking sheets that have been lined (sloppily) with parchment paper.
-Let the blob cool, and cut into chunks.
